Heyas!

I'd like to propose an informal get-together with the chili-heads among you (i.e. furs who love spicy food and maybe even grow their own plants).

If everything goes well, I might have a few bottles of my homemade hot sauces ready by then (starting a new growing season: Look here and show me yours if you can: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=47347&id=100000673956646&l=4d755b62dd )

I absolutely love(d) spicy food :)
(however I hate health problems which make eating spicy food not so much fun)
I was husky before it got trendy

Oh, sounds great :)

That reminds me, there is a festival for lecsó in the Hungarian town of Székesfehérvár every year on the last saturday of September.  Some people, including my boss make lecsó that is really really really hot (ours typically consists only of various hot peppers).  So keep it in mind and hop over for the weekend if you dare :)  (I'll gladly give more information later on when they give us the date for the event)

That looks delicious... I wonder if I got time to visit that festival (probably not...)

Oh, I'd be quite interested! I'm not really able to eat *very* hot food, I think, but I generally like moderate heat at least. ^^

(The pictures in the link you posted don't appear to be public, though.)

Changed the privacy for my Chili Project Album :)

Hmm, it's still not working - I still get asked for a username/password. Do you have to be on Facebook to view these? I'm not. :)

Thygrrr

Changed the link so it works for people who still have some privacy left...  ;D

Thank you! ^^ Very nice - I only have a few plants in a miniature greenhouse, myself, on my window sill with a heating mat to keep them warm. A couple have sprouted already, but the overall germination rate isn't good, so it's a good thing I planted more quite a few more than I intended to keep.

I guess I should invest in a plant growing lamp, too, as I don't get a lot of sun here.

I dare you, to find anything so hot that I can't eat it!
I had nothing to do with either the three little pigs or little red riding hood. Honestly I`m a nice guy, who just happens to love pork, and hooded women. It was all a misunderstanding, I swear!

Don't say that. That is a challenge you can no longer win since you can buy pure capsaicin on the internet :)

Oha!

I am a big chili fan! Count me in! I know a few really chili receipts, from con to sin carne and i am really interessted in new Know How and "tastes" - and in your sauces of course!
Where and when do you do that informal get-together?

Kisu

We had fun naga Morich tasting at Finfur Summer Camp this year. Was fun :3
The name 'leopard' may derive from an old notion that leopards were the result of crosses between lions (leo) and panthers (pard).

Thygrrr

This year's summer was so gloomy and rainy, hardly any of my chilis are ripe yet. I only have a handfull of tiny, awesome Habañeros.

@Cheetah: Actually, pure capsaicin instantly destroys the nerve endings (and permanently so), so it's not really that hot. But a 3 Mio SHU chili extract will do the trick.  :)

Just curious, did this one actually happen?
