Well, the problem here is fairly universal: Beer off the tap in Holland is actually far better than the stuff they export :D But that goes for quite a lot of countries and their beers...

Yeah, Heineken for instance is a good exportproduct even though I think it is like having sex in a canoe, but on the other hand Amstel is very drinkable.

Germany, Australia, Mexico and Ireland have prominence here in the United States concerning beer.

Belgium as well. The are a lot of good tasting beers in belgium, like the Kriek Lambic.

Well we are one of the better producers...

At the "Bier tempel" here in Brussels we have more than a 1000 of different brews..

Maybe someone should "educate" the US people by opening a shop of Belgian beers there??

I have tried, mind you, saying no one has heard of them is actually a bad statement.  So people have, but it is mostly people that travel a lot.  Personally, Duval and Leffe are some of my favorite beers.
