A bit of an odd situation, but due to two different travel possibilities I would either need both early arrival and late departure or none of those, the problem however is that I'll only know about a week before the convention which way I'll be going there so I'm curious, what are the chances of early arrival/late departure not being available for "at the door" upgrade? What would you guys suggest in my case?

We can't guarantee that an upgrade will be available.

You could try booking another hotel for these nights, e.g. on HRS, and make sure that you book a hotel that you can cancel until a few days before going.

Then when you know, you contact us, we can check if there are beds available, and depending on that you can cancel the other hotel or not. How does that sound?
