I'm just posting this in hopes of getting the ball rolling and some ideas stiring. Now from what I have come to understand music licensing is a big issue at EF. I propose we extend a collective middle finger to the music mafia and hire musicians from the fandom. I happen to know a few talented people, and I'm sure others do to. I know there is a lot of good musicians over at furrymusic, FA and other places. And I must say there are quote a lot of talented pepple out there. This would be a golden oportunity to shed some light on the musical side of the fandom. I'd be happy to pay a little extra, to attend a furry musical event, and I'm sure lots of other people would too.
You'll be delighted to hear that this is what we're actually trying to do for EF18 :) Keep your fingers crossed that everything will work out.
sounds amazing... hope it will works=^,^=
I can safely recommend a UK based furry band called The Donutsh. www.donutsh.com (http://www.donutsh.com) I happen to know that at least one of the band will be attending EF already.
why don't organize a jamm session with the furs who are on the erofurence?

Since EF9 there is an event called "The Furry Music Café". It's normally hosted in the bar and is an event for jamming or showing off your own stuff.
in the beginning Chama C. Fox hosted this event but since he hadn't attended Eurofurence the past years Eisfuchs and Jumpy unofficially took over.
I don't know if they are going to host a Café for EF18, but you probably want to get in contact with them about it.

The EF concert crew is already working hard, rehearsing a repartoire of about 20 songs (and at least 9 all new ones never performed at a furry con before)

Probably eletronic music, as that is the music made by furs, that dominate sites such as FA and youtube ;)
BTW Thumps up for live music ;D
I have a Yamaha SHS-10 Keytar that might interest a Keyboard player who wants something to rock out with on stage. Since it's MIDI out, it's quite sought after for quirky musicians.
On loan, of course!
I would love to do a gig at EF someday. I have lots of "furry" songs! Here's a website about my band with some live recordings and a couple of live videos. http://www.802701.org/drivein/band.html
