Hi everyone!
The new promo video is now online (http://forum.eurofurence.org/index.php/topic,2106.msg18877.html#msg18877) and because you can't reply in the announcement forum, I thought I'd start another thread here for your comments :)
Hotel seems huge..
Just a comment: On the Maritim website, they say there is a swimming pool, a sauna, a massage place and a gymnasium..
You didn't filmed those at all.. does that mean they will not be accessible for us?

They will be available. We just couldn't film them because they were in use by hotel guests who didn't want to be filmed :) We have visited the hotel twice so far, and had to work with whatever material we were able to get. That's why you see the stage in the middle of an event being set up :) There was a huge fashion show on that evening. Which was also nice, because it allowed us to show how the place looks with a party going on :)
I watched the teaser a few minutes ago and thought "WTF o.O" while the departure of the elevator. Damn, this will be a lot of fun (but maybe a problem with the number of avaiable elevators).
Hope there will be noone who got the same "good idea" like Mika when he (or she) consume a drink or two. :P That would be SOME heavy work to clean the mess up :P

I saw the video and am looking forward to the new hotel! Most excellent!
The video is now also available as Stream on Vimeo (http://www.vimeo.com/8061906) which you may share and embed in your own blog postings or web pages.
Wow it looks fantastic :D I cant wait to see it for real
Just watched the video several minutes ago. Lovely job. I'm looking forward to it with much glee :)
4 stars superior, that hotel is so nice <3
Wow - I think you guys did a great job in finding, choosing and finally picking a successor for the Ringberg. The Maritim looks spacy but yet comfortable, and surely like a venue for biiiig parties :)
I dont hope i end up under the roof :P Having a fear of hights. But it truly looks stunning. I cant wait be there.
It looks amazing, so much space and such. Ok...it's confirmed it then. I'm booking myself a superior double room damnit!
Also, as we booking the entire hotel, what kind of capacity does that give for furs staying at the hotel itself? Cause I'm guessing it's gonna be a highish number perhaps?
@drayygon: here http://forum.eurofurence.org/index.php/topic,2071.30.html (http://forum.eurofurence.org/index.php/topic,2071.30.html) you can read that the whole hotel is booked appart from the rooms of 16 long term residents.
I was referring to numbers of people overall that would be housed in the hotel, not room numbers chap

The nominal capacity with no overbooking (that means, two persons per room) is 1016. The function space is good for twice of that.
Does this hotel allow overbooking?

If we manage to fill all double rooms, we have an option to overstaff rooms in certain categories, but i have no details about that yet.
The video self is amazingly put togheter as well. I love the pawpet performance :-3

Sounds like fun but... How do you solve problems in an hotel that not any of the suiters work in.
You have to check stuff on the computer and check papers etc without being able to see that well in the suit.
I think it would be a better idea if you would help guests around a bit, welcome them at the front door, have someone at the elevators, interact with people on the waiting line for checking in to the con.

Nah, don't take it too seriously. : ) I wouldn't want to throw out the normal reception staff completely so they could help me with that. ; )

Seriously people, only hotel staff will be allowed behind the front desk, because that's an area where money is being handled. That one time with Nemeus for the promo video was an exception :) And fursuiter make very bad assistents, because, well, most of the time they need assistance themselves :)
The funny part is that my sister enjoyed the video more then me :)

I think we will be able to fit you in there additionally this year. So dont worry. *poke*
That indeed does look the business, and what a whopping stage area, WOW!
Still it does look a bit alien and expensive, but nothing a big bunch of furries wouldn't more than compensate for. ;D
And thanks for the nice video.

And not just one stage area, but
TWO with permanent stages, video projection, sound and lighting rigs already provided in each. See the bottom of
this page (http://www.maritim.com/en/conference/germany/hotel-magdeburg) on the Hotel's (English) website.
The larger of the two seats 1500 to 1600 on
individual chairs, which I'm sure will come as a great relief to people's backs after the benches in the rear and side rows at the Ringberg. ;-) The smaller of the two, which the video shows as planned for the Art Show, seats 500.
Think that should keep us going for..ooh...a couple of years anyway. :D
Cheers,
Southie

And this time they even have enough chairs. ;)

Might have to hand out a map in case anyone gets lost :P Or bring a GPS with you :P
What music was used in the video? ;D
Liked the sound of the two opening tracks and other bits! :D (The tracks when the cameras doing the angled zooms and just when their getting out of the taxi)
