First time going to a con, really looking forward to it.  ;D

Just wanting to know how much I should expect to pay for a meal at the Estrel, and which resturants are the best? ???

Hotel Restaurants are never cheap, but they are both pretty good.
But, the part of the city has -a lot- of really good restaurants around which are really cheap. You will find a lot of interesting food there if you are interested in experimenting a little bit ;)

To answer the original question: last year my "lunch" was between 10 and 20 Euro in the two Estrel restaurants that I was at. That included a softdrink. Since the hotel restaurants operate from pretty much the same kitchen, the quality is also pretty even. If the price doesn't deter you, try anyone...

Sambers

They tend to have some deals during the con.

I paid around 10 euros for a very good burger + fries at one of the restaurants for around 10 euros. Plus a drink for about 3 or 4 euros, that's a very good price imo. :)
Plus, the food was delicious!

I also ate at the Italian restaurant, I believe I paid roughly the same price for a very large plate of pasta, and the staff there is very nice and helpful :)

There's also a McDonald's within 5 minutes walking distance and a few supermarkets closeby, so you can make it as expensive or cheap as you want :P

Fineas

I don't know how many know this, but you can also order food at the bar in the middle of the night.

I seriously recommend their fries. It comes in a paper cone and tastes like nothing I have ever eaten on my list of consumed fried potato products.
It wasn't very cheap though, I though like 6 euro something, not sure.

We were a small group of danes last year, who skipped a few blocks downtown and we came across lots of supermarkets, a few restuarants and, if it's to your liking, a couple of sushi places.
We went in and bought a huge plate consisting of 60 pieces of sushi (the pieces were big) to about 34 euros, if I remember correct. We were 3 to share this plate and could only just barely finish.

But yeah, there are enough offers nearby the hotel. ^^

Did I mention that free breakfast is included with your room at the estrel, and that it is really awesome? :)

I will accept other opinions as long as you all accept that those opinions are wrong.

Last year I was mostly eating in a small restaurant Louis.

And many furs were coming there too.

For less than 20 Euros I could eat a soup and a GIANT schnitzel I could barely eat myself (seriously, two people should eat it XD )
Enjoy the moment, yet keep going.

Will the Pizza still be at 10€? x_x

Fast-food and good prices: Sonnengarten Imbiss across the bridge

The owner there last year gave a really good service and was very welcoming and furry friendly.

I have to say I was actually surprised that they had reasonable priced vegetarian options etc. last year :) You could get a proper dinner (maybe without a drink) for < 10€ - nowadays it's not easy to get a good pizza for less delivered.
