Hi Everyone

We'll be doing an 80s dance on Wednesday (20.08) night and are still having some spots left for voluntary DJs, so if you feel this is your genre and want to spin some music, just give me some note here as soon as possible ^^.

It would be happy for all of you to participate in it, too. Dance to the music of your childhood - or even before ;3

Best Greetings
MafunDi

Hi MafunDi,
I could put on some synthpop tunes.
I´ve been an assistant DJ several times, but I don´t own any equipment.
Is it OK to just bring along MP3s?
All the best,
SciFox

I am not a DJ, but will try to participate. Sounds like fun  :)

Damn, that's exactly what I always wanted! <3
If I have the time at the con, I will definitely be there!

I also have a lot of good 80s-music, but I never did DJing before, so I think it's better when I don't try it. xD
I would also set something like this, it's not originally from the 80's, but awesome, though! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QpDn4-Na5co

80's music! This is my kind of style to go along to. Do you have any requirements for experience levels?
More is more.

DarkFoxDK

I'd like to nominate Fuzzy. :P

Lutra

Yeah music of my childhood :)

FreesTyler

I love this idea, and will certainly do all I can to join! Sounds really fun!

Thank you I hope to see you all there :3
And who is Fuzzy? ^^

silverfoxwolf

Fuzzy is one of the masters of all music cheese.
More is more.

Music of my youth!

I would DJ but I'd clear the place with the super mouldy cheese I have..... I nominate Fuzzy too!

Atkelar

I'm not a dancer, but if I finish my tasks on time, I'll certainly drop by to listen to the music ^.^

"o/` 99 Luftballons!"

sorry, I promise I won't actually sing in public :D But it does make me feel old again: there's a good portion of attendees at EF who have never experienced the 80's first hand... Let's bring some culture to them 'ere whippersnappers!

Blackymoon

Sounds really interesting, I might drop by ^.^

Ah as beeing a child of the 80s its not only the music that was different it was an area of pioneers.
Imagine that:
No cellphones - yes you couldnt be reached
3 TV programs
Absolutely weird fashion
PCs (286er) cost about 14000$
No DSL, no internet, highest bitrate was 2400bit/s using something called acoustic coupler.
Analog photography
Aera of Homecomputers like:
Zx81, Spectrum, VC20, c16, +4, C64, c128, Amiga
etc.
Magazines like happy computer, 64er etc.
Floppy Disks, Datasette
Slideshows were really slideshows involving projectors.
No DVDs but VHS or Betamax.
The music was really versatile those days. If I listen to this music all memories are coming back.
Nenas "Irgendwie irgendwo irgendwann" (Anytime anywhere) is still one of my favourites :)
I'd gladly come to the 80s dance. :)

I've recently read the book "Ready Player One" from Ernest Cline.
It is amazing :)

All the 80's are there :)

If you can get a paw on this book, please do read, it is amazing :)
Life is a big game... and it's graphic engine is extraordinary :)

I'd love to do an 80's disco using vinyl and including old UK Network Chart soundbytes. Proper nostalgia.
