Since there were 911 attendees this year, how about an Emergancy Services theme for EF17?
*Fire Brigade
*Police
*Ambulence
*Mountain rescue
*Coastguard

Plenty of scope for hot furries in uniforms.

And possibly plenty of ideas for the pawpet show script - which I assume dictates the theme to a large extent.

I agree, if only it means me lugging my LAPD SWAT gear along to wear one night...and die in from sweating tons.

Come on.. to think that the only things the EF crew can come up with given the African theme is "Lion King" ... you're underestimating the creativity of the people involved ^.^

Well, if you think about it, the britishfurs (you are one right?) thought up a brilliant plan: some of us will come in (colonial) British army gear (they even had a sign up during post-con) from the classic wars in Africa. XD... then ofcourse, you have the foreign legion, and so forth. (again LOL).



Anyway, I definetly think the 911 (US) / 112 (for non US) theme would be interesting... "Furgency/Furemergency Con"

What about 'Return to the 80's?'

A lot of furs have very fond memories of this area, from the typical SatAm cartoons, retro-games, down to the wonderful wrong music Think of the Thundercats, Inspector Gadget, the Fun Factory, Muppets, all those wonderful Jim Henson movies and so much more!

May I suggest Renaissance as a theme for EF 17?

I like that theme a lot! I'd definitely go for it ... sadly it's not my task to choose the themes for EF. :/

As for the theme "Return to the 80's" ... There sure are a lot of people who'd love this theme. But this theme is a bit boring for the younger attendees of the convention since they were born too late to experience the 80's.

The 80th was cool:  
We had Reagan, Nukes, MJ, "A clear picture where the bad guys are" and at the very end everything started to get confused  ^^


But i would suggest the 60th, multi color and flower power...

How about the 19th century. With monocles, Giant Top Hats and Moustaches. Oh well If my fursuit is ready I'd wear a Giant 1,7 meter tophat anyway (If I can build one xD).

But I'm for the 911 theme too. (wouldn't fit into the EF around the world theme actually but hey. Emergency uniforms, crashing twin tow *is directly inprissoned by the FBI because of terorrism suspicion*)

The 911 theme can be fun too, however I think I will be put on at least 20 no-fly lists if I come in the fursuit I had in mind for that theme.

911 is typical american. Since it's an european con it doesn't sound like it should be 911 ;p
