On 2. September there is a new version of Avatar in the cinema.

I wonder if there is a group who wants to watch the movie. I'm looking forward to watch it with a group of furs, maybe it is a good idea to make a reservation.

Angelfox

sounds like it could be fun.

but will they speak english or german? as far as i recall then gernamy dubs most of the movies for tv atleast

Sinea

great movie,
but why does they show it twice?
Just deleted scence, not really interesting....

Why re-release it in cinemas? The existence of this thread really ought to provide you with the answer to that. Hint: People in Hollywood (and many other places) like money ;)

But it seams that the people in Magdeburg don't. I can't find any advertising about it or even progamm planning, so I start to doubt that there will be Avatar at the Cinema. And going into a 3D theatre without reservation is not that good, because the best places are gone by then.

It's also hard to find Cinemas that show movies in original version. Well, watching a movie in the cinema is something that everyone can do at their own place, it doesn't have to be during a con.

There are a very few cinemas that show the feature in it's native English nature.
Germans have the nasty habit of dubbing EVERYTHING they can get their hands on.
No way I am going to Avatar when it's spoken in German. Ever!  :D

Actually, the German Version of Avatar isn't that bad. But I prefer the English version as well. ;)

I saw the new version last night...mostly just a few scenes here and there, but 3 short sequences were added that were neat to see.

Well, they present the movie once a day at 4:45 pm , not a very good time. I think I will pass on that and look it elsewhere, or maybe there is a chance. But in Germany you go better with reserved seats because 3D is still very new.
