Well, how about a more Europe-tinted theme? Something specific to Europe?

It'd be quite hard to do something like that since Europe's countries have different languages, culture etc etc

Well, diversity could be a theme in its own right, couldn't it? Europeans are diverse, and so are furries.

I kind of think that's a given at any Eurofurence.

A note: There was exactly one latex suit seen in public, and that was for long enough to actively seek out SomeWolf, who told us that it was too much (face too freaky, tail visibly inflatable). What you may have seen was a number of people in bondage gear (but normal fursuits), and some spandex-based suits (all wearing more clothes than the female fursuits running around), so... yeah, no vinyl suits and no latex suits in public, sorry :) (please do prove me wrong, i was all over the place so may have missed some ;) )

I saw several. The BDSM Pony thing in the corsage, the Latex Doberman (at the dance, and otherwhere), and some guys in full bdsm gear at a room party (which is absolutely fine, given the fact that these things are private; albeit they had their doors invitingly open); some reptile dude in spandex (technically, it had vinyl [??] components and other skintight material; but the guy was actually moving elegantly and not in a pornographic manner, so he was very fine).

... Yeah, spandex is mostly okay (in my eyes!); latex or vinyl as the main components of a costume isn't. I don't mind people doing it, but it pretty much clashes with the healthy "weird but friendly" image the furry fandom is trying to build up. Outsiders are just way too prejudiced against these kinds of suits to make it worth risking making headline news in them.

Oh, I move elegantly? Cool - it seems I pulled it off then :).

Yep, I was the lizard guy (as well as a spiky husky, but that's something else entirely). I treat the lizard as a character, a lizard costume - not as a fetish suit. Some of you may know I'm not entirely uninterested in such things, which only goes to prove my point further. Non toony lizards are almost supposed to look like that anyway - if you could tell me of a different, effective, affordable, hard wearing and non potentially offensive way to do a 'realistic' scaly creature let me know! (Although, I never actually planned to make the lizard a whole costume, it just kinda happened.)

And it doesn't have any vinyl components ;). Anyway, back to the topic?

You guys have to try it every year, don't you. =/

What about Video Games? I think Video and Computer Games are part of nearly every furry's life. I already can imagine Mika as Samus Aran from the Metroid-series, lol. I especially would like a EF based around the old games from the 80s and early till mid 90s, before all that 3D-jazz was introduced.

You seem to be attempting to equal the larger rubberfurs community with a certain individual last year who did it entirely out of spite - what we did was rather different in that we actually went to SomeWolf directly with the intention of asking him if the outfit which Makenshi wore (which was covered by a long coat and far more family friendly than a wide range of outfits found throughout the con site) was acceptable. SomeWolf gave it serious thought and finally told us it was not, and we went peacefully back to our room. In short: Please don't put us in the same box as Rapido.

Aaaand, back on topic :)

Video games indeed sound like a good plan, i for one would enjoy seeing what people come up with for that :) A large number of fursuits are already computer-game based, and i'm sure we may well see a good bunch of StarFoxes, which would be quite fun in itself, but i'm sure people would be able to get a lot better ideas than that as well :)

I think a video games theme would be fantastic :D

A question out of curiousity, have there been any FurCon that have had a Celtic theme?

I think so... but how about... Vikings!
